Challenge Walk walk to create a world free of MS |
Thank you for volunteering for the MS Challenge Walk 2006. Despite all the months of planning and preparation that go into each event, we would never be able to host this major fundraiser without dedicated volunteers like you!
Please read this information carefully, it contains specific information about the Walk and day-of-event activities. Your volunteer job description outlining your responsibilities and what you will need that day are included. If you have any questions please ask!
What Every Volunteer Should Know:
- There will be communications and medical volunteers throughout the route including at the start/finish area, each rest stop, and in the support vehicles. In the event of any incident or emergency, notify the communications or medical volunteer. If an individual is, or appears to be seriously injured, do not move him or her.
- Support vehicles will be patrolling the route. If a walker needs transportation to the next rest stop or back to the start/finish, have your communication volunteer contact a support vehicle.
- Keep your area free of any trash that may be on the ground, empty the trashcans when they are full and replace with a new plastic liner.
- Lost and found articles should be taken to the Information table at the start/end location.
- Please do not leave without checking out with the rest stop captain.
